2012 Season Update

After 2 weekends of hard work the track is almost ready for the 2012 racing season. Please check the race calendar for our latest schedule of events.

2012 Season Getting Closer!

Today 2/11 we just completed our first Club meeting of the year. Thanks for coming and supporting our 2012 season by joining the Club. We will be installing the new layout soon and will need lots of help to get it done.

Also we have received preliminary approval from the City for our light project so that we can race this summer at night. Our next step is to submit the plan in writing to the City and pull the permits, however it will require $2500 to complete, so please make plans to join the Club ASAP so that we can get the lights installed before it gets too hot!

2012 RACE SEASON UPDATES

Emery Park RC Club is now preparing for the 2012 race season! The track will be leveled soon in order to ready the surface for the new layout to be installed. EPRC is working hard to deliver many improvements to the facility and racing program, including the possibility of adding lights to race at night this summer.

Our first Club race is set for March 31st with the annual "Free For All" set for April 7th. Also the dates for the 2012 Nitro Knockout are set for June 16th and 17th. Please check out our Knockout race promo at:

EPRC now has a group located in facebook, you can friend us by searching Emery Park RC Club in facebook to get news and updates on Club activities.

EPRC is planning a Club meeting and membership drive for February, the time and location will be announced very soon!

A new membership plan will be in effect for 2012 that will be very attractive to members who like to race a lot!

It was wicked close, but after the dust settled Emery Park R/C and its racers from Kansas took the win over Taylor Park R/C of Oklahoma in the Stateline Showdown! Special thanks to TPRC for putting on an awesome event!

SCHEDULE UPDATE
In order to repair and renovate the track to have it in tip top shape for the Nitro Knockout, the previously scheduled races on May 28th and June 4th have been cancelled. During renovations the track will be closed for practice from May 27th to June 10th at which point it will reopen for the Nitro Knockout. It was a difficult decision to make, but the track will need significant prepping to meet the needs and expectations of drivers who will be spending significant time and money to come race the Nitro Knockout.

NITRO KNOCKOUT TROPHIES APPROVED
Emery Park R/C Club is excited to announce trophies will be handed out to TQ in every class and to every entrant who makes an A-main! (Electric Truggy top 5 only) Trophies will be provided by Fastlane Graphix one of the sponsors of the Nitro Knockout and they will be presented by Hobbytown USA (Wichita), another sponsor of the event. We would also like to thank JConcepts and Tekin for stepping up to help sponsor the 2011 Nitro Knockout.

SHORT COURSE SHOOTOUT CANCELLED
Due to lack of interest and turnout in the Short Course classes at Emery Park R/C, the Short Course Shootout previously scheduled for August has been cancelled. In the meantime we are going to continue trying to build the Short Course classes on a weekly basis and if interest and turnouts build significantly we do have the option to revisit rescheduling this race. If you have a SC please come out and race during our weekly races, if we do not have enough to make a class, the Race Director will enter you into one of the electric buggy or truggy classes to ensure you get to race.

Stateline Showdown Was A Success!

The Home/Home Stateline Showdown between Emery Park R/C and the Oklahoma Nitro Club was a huge success! 80+ entries for the day and there were many many great competitive races throughout the day. Results are posted on the race results section of this website.

Special thanks to the Oklahoma Nitro Club and the 20+ racers who represented their Club very well going up against Emery Park R/C Club in Wichita. Later this year Emery Park R/C Club will head South to Oklahoma to invade their turf and determine which Club will win the overall points battle. Points will be posted later this week once they are tabulated.

Track Closed For Practice - 4/25 through 4/29

Due to the downpour and thunderstorms, the track will be closed this week 4/25 through 4/29 for maintenance and preparation for the Stateline Showdown race that will be held on Saturday 4/30. Please spread the word and make plans to represent Emery Park R/C Club this Saturday for the Stateline Showdown Home/Home points series with Kansas and Oklahoma.
